"窪蹋勛圖 receives National Park Service Media Grant for the 窪蹋勛圖 project, a new visually vibrant and content rich online destination featuring the nation’s historic modern buildings, sites, landscapes and neighborhoods."

窪蹋勛圖 is pleased to announce the organization is a recipient of the National Park Service’s Center for Preservation Technology media grant for the 窪蹋勛圖 project. The 窪蹋勛圖 project builds upon the 窪蹋勛圖’ Register and will be incorporated into 窪蹋勛圖’ new website.

The 窪蹋勛圖 project seeks to raise public awareness of the rich diversity of modern buildings, sites and landscapes, inform ongoing stewardship decisions and offer continued scholarship. By providing a fresh, authentic, and comprehensive catalogue of our nation’s historic modern sites, 窪蹋勛圖 will present an unprecedented opportunity to inform, expand and strengthen preservation initiatives and will serve as an easily available tool for advocacy by bringing together a broad range of in-depth research and data sources into a user-friendly experience accessible on any device.

In July, the National Park Service announced $324,700 in grants to fund research, training, and online and social media projects that promote innovative uses of technology in the preservation of America’s important cultural and historical resources. The National Park Service's National Center for Preservation Technology and Training administers the grants as part of its efforts to create new technologies and training opportunities to preserve historic and cultural resources throughout the United States. Since 1994, the center has awarded more than $9.7 million in grants to fund science and technology-based projects for historic preservation.
